Allendale Community Center

The Borough of Allendale approached us with the need for a new Community Center, to gather the variety of activities and groups that had been disbursed throughout the town under one roof. A vaulted Lobby greets residents and has a digital Community Board where residents can stay up to date with events. On one side of the building is a large gym space to allow for basketball, pickle ball, and other court-based sports. It is attached to a commercial Kitchen which supports club activities and fundraising events. The other side of the building are support spaces such a meeting rooms, restrooms, and storage. The exterior of the building aims to reconcile the civic use of the building, with a residential scale and gable form to integrate with the nearby homes.
