The land led us. The lot drops a full story from the front to the back, and we designed the house to follow it.
From the street, The Modern Heirloom reads as a quiet white house: shake siding, black windows, a deep front porch. Around back, the grade falls away and the house opens up. A covered porch looks over the lawn, and below it, the lower level walks straight out onto the patio through a wall of glass.
Scope: architecture and interiors.

From the front door to the view of the pond, every room in The Olive and Oak House was designed to belong.
Sage cabinetry and a white oak island anchor the kitchen. An arched oak bar holds the glassware. A green trough sink sits against block-print wallpaper in the powder room. Upstairs, the bedrooms are dimmer and quieter, and the windows bring in light.

This kitchen is all about thoughtful details that work hard while looking effortless. A rich mix of white oak, blackened metal, and warm brass sets the tone, anchored by Naica stone—Taj Mahal`s cool vibey sister.
The slab backsplash makes a strong visual statement, but it’s what’s behind it that truly elevates the design. Panels flanking the range slide back to reveal discreet spice racks, keeping everyday essentials close at hand without interrupting the clean, uninterrupted stone. A functional solution seamlessly integrated into a striking material moment.

Designed for gathering, this backyard extends the home’s architecture into the landscape with intention and ease. Distinct zones for dining, lounging, and relaxing create a natural flow—allowing multiple moments of hosting to happen at once while still feeling connected.
The covered porch with its brick fireplace anchors the outdoor living area, offering warmth and shelter, while the open patio encourages casual meals and long conversations. Together, these spaces form a backyard that supports both lively entertaining and quiet retreat, grounded in thoughtful planning and timeless design.
